Derek Jacobs

Lead Pastor

Derek Jacobs is a graduate of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University where he earned a Master of Divinity Degree in May 2007.  Derek is an Ordained Elder in the United Methodist Church and is a member of the North Texas Annual Conference.  Derek currently serves as the Lead Pastor of The Village United Methodist Church in Desoto, Texas.  Derek is strongly committed to his calling and has a strong passion for starting new faith communities.  Derek is a contributor to Flipping Church: How Successful Church Planters Are Turning Conventional Wisdom Upside-Down.  He lives by the motto:  See it!!! Believe it!!! Execute it!!!  Derek is the proud husband to Season and father to Dayson and Haylo.
